HERE’S JOHNNNNNNNNNNNNY!

oopps, sorry for the mix-up!

I’m Johnny, an adventure elopement and wedding photographer based in Ireland, NOT Jack Nicholson from The Shining. My focus is on capturing natural, beautiful moments for my couples rather than being a menacing presence at a haunted hotel. So, please don’t mistake me for the infamous character – I promise I’m much more friendly and approachable!

Just be yourselves

Hey there, I'm Johnny - your friendly neighborhood wedding and elopement photographer in Ireland! I like to keep things natural and beautiful - no fuss, no formality, just you two, your love, and your sense of adventure. My camera will be there to capture every moment of it!

I'm all about creating art that you'll cherish for a lifetime - pictures that will look stunning on your wall in a beautiful frame. My style is creative and playful, with a film-like feel that captures the romance and emotion of your special day.

And don't worry about feeling nervous or awkward in front of the camera - I'm all about making you feel relaxed and comfortable. No fake smiles or stiff poses - just you, being yourselves and enjoying the moment.

As a newlywed myself, I totally get the craziness of wedding planning. That's why I love mini weddings and elopements - they're all about the simple act of marrying your best friend and having an adventure together. And who doesn't love the great outdoors, right? Whether it's hiking, forest walks, or picnics in scenic locations, I'm always up for some adventure!

When I'm not behind the camera, you can find me enjoying the simple things in life - hanging out with my son Aaron, our dog Ghost, and staying fit with Running and Cardio workout. And when the weekend rolls around, there's nothing I love more than a turf fire, a pint of Guinness, and being surrounded by family. Let's create some magic together and capture your love story in a way that's as unique and fun as you are!

Apart from my daily work as a photographer, I am a simple guy who loves spending time at home. I enjoy the simple things in life such as forest or hill walking, hiking, trail running, good company and a few laughs.

When I think about what my perfect evening would look like, I would simply answer that a turf fire, a Guinness and being surrounded by the family would make my day. From Thurs to Sundays I am very busy working with clients in different locations but during weeks and some free weekends I like to spend time with my son Aaron and our dog, Ghost and of course staying fit doing Gym (cardio and weight lifting) training.

A few more things I’m obsessed with:

A man standing outdoors with trees and leaves in the background, surrounded by white doodles and annotations describing his hobbies and family members, including chasing mountains, photography, trail running, art, video games, and enjoying coffee and comedy films.
"Irish Claddagh Ring charcoal drawing" - Monochrome artwork depicting a detailed charcoal drawing of an Irish Claddagh Ring, showcasing the hands, heart, and crown elements with intricate shading and texture.

By the way, I have my drawings above available for sale on my online shop at HERE
You can explore a variety of my artwork, including the Irish Claddagh Ring, a symbol of love and loyalty.

What's the Story Behind the Elephant and a Shoe?

“Elephant Shoe” is a phrase I’ve always loved because when you lip read someone saying it, it looks like they’re saying “I love you”. As someone who is deaf, it’s a fun reminder that things can sometimes get lost in translation.

While you probably won’t use “Elephant Shoe” in everyday conversation, it’s a playful way of saying “I love you” without actually saying the words.

I use it all the time with my wife and son, and it became such a special part of our lives that we even included it in our wedding decorations.

For me, Elephant Shoe is all about love, connection, and not taking life too seriously. So give it a go and see if you can spot it too!
